Believe it or not, the first word I ever uttered was "Flower," (at least that's what I've always been told). Before I finished my first year I would point at flowers and say "Flower" even at flowers on logos and signs.
Then a number of years ago my mother asked me to remove a greenhouse from "the 'ol speedway nursery" on Loudon Rd. in Concord and rebuild it in her field. Since then I've been doing more and more to pull the place together into a functioning business.
All the photographs you see on this website are mine. In fact, I designed and implemented this whole site, wrote most of the content too. If you see a Liliana Flower Farm ad, the chances are I put it together. I keep up the grounds and am remodeling some of the farm's structures (this in addition to the day to day operations).
So, in a sense, I make up the cornerstone of the farm. My talent consists of taking on challenges I have absolutely no understanding of, figuring out the skills I need, teaching them to myself to accomplish the challenge. I learned PHP and MySQL this spring to put together the "products" section of the website, and I'm currently working on my first iPhone App. So I can be a useful person to have around.
Now the challenge I've set before myself is make Liliana Flower Farm complete for my mother to operate in her retirement from teaching in 2010.
